Tibetan Tingsha are small cymbals used in prayer and rituals by Tibetan Buddhist practitioners. Two cymbals are joined together by a strap or chain, and when they are struck together a clear and high pitched tone is produced. Typical sizes range from 2″ to 4″ inches in diameter. Traditionally, Tingsha have a thickness that enables them to produce a unique long ringing tone.
