To burn resin incense simply light a charcoal tablet and place it in a flameproof vessel.  Adding salt or sand to the bottom of the bowl will help dissipate the heat.  Allow the charcoal to fully ignite and then place a small amount of your favorite resin on top. The resins will begin to burn and release their fragrant aroma through the smoke. Every aromatic herb and resin has different properties, and can evoke different moods.
